Portion Control On A Daily Basis
The best way to lose and maintain weight and increase muscle mass is to use portion control on a daily basis. If you think you need to eat less food in order to lose weight, you are wrong. You need to eat food based on your daily exercise, height, and current weight to calculate your daily calorie intake. Once your daily calorie intake is calculated, you then need to calculate your daily water intake by your weight and then divide that by half and divide that result by eight.
For example, if you weigh 140pounds, divide by 2, and you get 70. You then divide 70 by 8 and you get 8.75. The 8 signifies 8 ounces (1 cup) of water. The 8.75 signifies how many times you drink 8 oz of water you must drink on a daily basis in order to lose weight and stay hydrated throughout the day. But, if you weigh over 160 pounds, do not drink more than 12 glasses of water a day. Drink 10 glasses, max 12 glasses. If you drink more than 12 glasses of water a day, you can damage your insides by over-hydration.
When you use portion control on a daily basis, make sure you are measuring your food with measuring utensils and weighing it with a scale, as described on the package nutrition label. If you are the type of person who eats out a lot, you can still use portion control on a daily basis by using your hand. Yes, you can use your hand to maintain a healthy diet.
