2 Types of Martial Art Instruction

Did you know that there are two types of martial art instruction? Depending on the owner and grandmaster or headmaster instructor of your martial art school you attend, the style of his/her instruction depends on his/her martial art philosophy of teaching.


The traditional martial art instruction is a type of martial art philosophy that is based on self-realization and self-improvement. The other type of martial art instruction, self-preservation, is based upon uncompromising discipline, which means the instruction is taught to defend one’s self against physical assault and the reality of the increase in crime and violence rate.
