Donnie Yen.

Has a 6th Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, a black belt in Judo, and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He also knows Tai Chi, Karate, Wushu, Parkour, Wrestling, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Boxing.

Donnie’s mother Bow-sim Mark is a Tai Chi and Fu Style Wudangquan (internal martial arts) Grandmaster.

Is a breakdancer.

Met Jet Li at the Beijing Sports Institute, where Jet Li trained, when Donnie was a teenager.

Donnie started his film career as a stuntman before he turned actor in his first role in the movie Drunken Tai Chi in 1984.

Has been in 3 movies with Jet Li… Once Upon a Time in China II, Hero, and The Founding of a Republic.

Turned down a role in Expendables 2.

Donnie played the role of Chen Zen in the TV Series Fists of Fury, which was adapted from the Bruce Lee Movie Fists of Fury.

He is reprising his role of Ip Man in Ip Man 3, released in 2016.

He is an Ambassador for Free the Children, an international charity.

Donnie also is well-known for choreographing movies, such as Blade II, Highlander: Endgame, Shanghai Knights, Flashpoint, SPL: Sha Po Lang, and The Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zen.

Donnie is accredited for bringing MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) to Asia.
