Martial Art Tip of the Day:

Martial Arts Improves Flexibility and Endurance

Martial Arts Improves Flexibility and Endurance

Whether you are a beginning martial artist or an expert martial artist, did you know that during your training it will strengthen your flexibility and endurance?

Your flexibility will be strengthened from all the way to the tips of your hands to the tips of your toes with all the training in which you endure, in which you require to be able to get to your next rank in your martial art style. To be able to strengthen your flexibility, it all starts out with stretching. Stretch out every limb in your body from your spine to the tips of your toes to the tips of your fingers, all the way to your elbows to your knees, so you can strengthen your core, strengthen your horsestance, strengthen every bone in your body and muscle. That way it will strengthen your endurance when you are sparring and when you are doing your forms, in whatever training in which you require in your style.

Strengthening your flexibility in the tips of your fingers will actually help you improve your push-ups. When you are doing push-ups, you are using your hands as well as the tips of your fingers. I know some people who who are able to do martial arts, and their push-ups in their training with the tips of their fingers. I can’t do that because I don’t have the strength in my arms to be able to do that yet, but maybe, eventually, I will. Some people, like males, who are able to do the push-ups on their fingertips, and the females who can, too, empower themselves enough to be able to go even further.

To be able to strengthen the flexibility in your toes, you want to do calf raises. When you are doing calf raises, not only are you strengthening the calves, you are also strengthening the tips of your toes. You are going on the tips of your toes when you are doing the calf raises. Therefore, you are strengthening and training the flexibility of the tips of your toes. When you are training, you are improving the flexibility from the tips of your toes to the tips of your hands.

When it comes to being able to strengthen your endurance, that happens when you are sparring. To be able to spar without being able to breathe hard enough as you normally are, the quicker you get, the leaner you get, and the faster you get. That is endurance. That is your stamina. That is the flow of your breath to be able to control as you are sparring. The more you train, the more you work hard, and the more you rank up, the more endurance you will gain, the more strengthening you will gain, the more flexibility you will gain, as well as the self-confidence, the self-will, the self-drive, and the motivation to push harder and to push farther, and to push forward, until you get to the rank in which you so require and desire.
